Messages Manager is designed to request data messages, SMS, commands, and events. We can also use it to manage multiple messages sent to and from a vehicle. Using the app you can manually check an event registered in the system or control command execution.
When it comes to a point of issue with drivers and customers or the need for analytics, even one message can make sense.
Convenience based on simplicity, user-friendly interface and broad filtration options is what you get with Messages Manager.
Messages Manager : optimize working with Wialon messages in the way you like
Wialon Data Center is one of the world largest M2M telematics platforms, every minute connecting new GPS tracking units. Just recently, Wialon Data Center has registered its 200 000th unit and every day it processes around 300 000 messages per minute. Each Wialon Hosting and Wialon Kit user works with GPS tracking units’ data base on a daily basis.
And very often receives a whole lot of messages (coordinates, parameters, speed, etc). Also, it receives SMS-messages from the unit, commands, sent to the unit and events, registered in the unit’s history. With the aim to simplify working with data base, Gurtam developers created Messages Manager application. It actually represents a quite user-friendly message editor.
By using this app, you can manage all types of messages: data, SMS, commands, events. You can do so by retrieving them from the data base and reflecting in a tabular form. Start the app from Toolz, choose the required unit and set the necessary time frame. The application is available both in Russian and in English.
Massages Manager also provides the opportunity to delete part of history. However, due to particular reasons, that history part should not be fixed. New Apps, as well as other Gurtam Apps is available as open source. If necessary, you can further develop it according to your requirements.
Messages
The Messages panel gives access to the unit’s database. Here you can view all messages received from units (coordinates, parameters, speed, etc). You can also check SMS messages received from them, commands sent to units and events registered in unit’s history. Besides, the user can export this data to a number of formats.
To open the Messages panel, select a corresponding name in the top panel. Or click on the necessary item in the main menu customizer. The work space of the panel can be divided into four sections:
- in the left top corner, you can set the parameters of your request
- then, in the bottom left part there is the statistics for current request or a panel to export/import messages
- and in the top right section there is the map
- at the lower right section there are messages themselves
You can resize the sectors (the left ones : in width, the right ones : both in width and height).
To do this, click on the border between them with the left mouse button and while holding it.
Move the border to the right/left or up/down.
If less than 10% of the map is left while expanding the lower sector, the map automatically collapses.
To return it, press on the line under the top panel.
